June Ann Tomlinson, age 91 of Elwood, passed away peacefully August 17, 2016 at Miller's Merry Manor in Tipton after several health complications. She was born April 25, 1925 in Elwood, the daughter of Charles and Maude (Bailey) LaShure. June retired from Mercy Hospital in Elwood where she worked in the Housekeeping Department for more than 20 years. She attended Elwood Schools. June married her first husband, Enos Bartholomew, Jr. on January 3, 1949 and later married her 2nd husband, Clifford Tomlinson on February 9, 1965. She was a life member of the Elwood V.F.W. Ladies Auxillary and active in the Eagles Lodge for many years. She especially liked playing Bingo and making artificial floral arrangements for decorating the graves of family members. She also found joy in attending area festivals for the various events, ice cream, and music - especially if it was bluegrass music or Elvis Presley music. June was known for her baking, and was known for making delicious apple dumplings. June will always be remembered for the love she had for her family; and for living to be known and loved by 5 generations.
