Judith Ann Bragg, age 68 of Elwood, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 7, 2016 at Community Parkview Care Center in Elwood following extended health complications. She was born on February 11, 1948 in Warren, Ohio, the daughter of Leroy Nash, Jr. and Barbara (Alexander) Nash. Judy attended Frankton schools and worked as a Nurse's Aid for over 20 years at both Dickey Nursing Home and Parkview Nursing Home in Elwood and several other area facilities. She enjoyed caring for others, and touched many lives through her work. Judy formerly enjoyed bowling, and bowled in Elwood bowling leagues for many years. She also formerly attended Cornerstone Ministries Church in New Castle, and was proud to have served on a mission trip to Honduras. She also enjoyed traveling. More than anything, she was dedicated to caring for her family, raising her children, and being a wonderful sister.
Judy's family includes four children, Todd (wife Misty) Bragg of Elwood, Tim (wife Jera) Bragg of Elwood, Jodie Bragg-Gantt of Washington State, and Jessica Blankenship of Frankton; sister, Patricia L. Nash of Elwood; 10 grandchildren, Curtis (wife Emily) Bragg, Erika Bragg, Cameron Bragg, Brooklyn Bragg, Ashley Brown, Austyn Bragg, Amanda (husband Eric) Michaud, Darrien Gantt, Kimberley Gantt, and Makayla Sims; 5 great-grandchildren, Mackenzie, Savannah, Liliana, Zoey, Aislynn, and Isabella who is expected in October; and several nieces and nephews.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers, Larry Nash and Michael Nash; and grandson, Joshua Bragg.
Graveside funeral services for Judy will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at K. of P. – I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Frankton with Judy's lifelong friend, Teresa Collins, officiating. Burial will follow in the Frankton Cemetery. Visitation will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the American Diabetes Association through the funeral Home.
