Jonathan
Ryan
Aug 31, 1983 — Apr 3, 2019
Jonathan Ryan, age 35 of Lebanon, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 3, 2019 in Lebanon. He was born August 31, 1983 in Tipton, the son of Rickie Joe Pratt and Jamey (Stout) Hickson. He attended Tipton Community Schools until his junior year, and he then graduated from Lebanon High School in 2002. Jonathan was a hard worker at every job where he worked. He formerly worked at Subaru Corporation in Lafayette and Grey-Bar Electric Company in Indianapolis. In high school, Jonathan was an accomplished athlete on both the soccer and baseball teams, and he was also involved in the "Young Originals" music group. He not only enjoyed playing sports, but also liked to watch Indianapolis Colts football and Indiana Pacers basketball. Jonathan was always cared about his appearance; always loved to dress very well; and was fortunate to work as a model during and after high school. His family will never forget his first paid modeling job - he wore the "Kellogg" rooster costume at the Brickyard 400 for the LaBonte race car, and it was a very hot summer day.
Jonathan's most notable talent was his gift of musical ability. He loved to write music, journal, sing, play piano; and he taught himself to play the guitar. Jonathan was known for singing anywhere he was, and would carry a notebook with him just in case he was inspired to write something. He was proud to have auditioned for both "American Idol" and "The Voice". Jonathan also enjoyed dancing, and he was known to break out his "moves" at every daddy-daughter dance with his children. He was a true giver who never met a stranger, and he would give the shirt off of his back to anyone in need. Jonathan enjoyed having fun in life, but more than anything, he loved his family, friends, and especially his children. He will be greatly missed.
Jonathan's family includes his mother, Jamey (husband Rob) Hickson of Kirklin; 4 children, Colton Matthew Ryan of Lebanon, Lucy Michelle Ryan of Tipton, Emma Marie Ryan of Lebanon, and Liam Nathaniel Ryan of Lebanon; 2 sisters, Jennifer (husband Jeff) Shepard of Greenfield, and Kayla (husband Will) Ritter of Libertyville, IA; 3 brothers, Jason (wife Stephanie) Foor of Jacksonville, FL, Jacob Foor of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Ryan Hickson of Thorntown; maternal grandparents, Rev. James (wife Janet) Stout of Elwood, and Mary Hofer of Elwood; paternal grandmother, Mary Pratt of Elwood; former spouse, Heather Tharp of Tipton; 8 nieces and nephews, Kayla Marie (husband Jaime) Mejia, Tristan Foor, Charleigh Foor, Benjamin Foor, Aidan Foor, Ava Rose Shepard, Chloe Jade Shepard, and Rylan Jax Foor; 2 great-nephews, Leo Meija, and Niko Meija; several aunts and uncles; and several cousins. Jonathan was preceded in death by his father, Rickie Pratt; step-grandfather, John Hofer; and paternal grandfather, Don Pratt.
