Sep 9, 1952 — Oct 25, 2021
Jon K. Arbuckle , age 69 of Elwood, passed away on Monday, October 25, 2021 at Community Hospital in Anderson following a brief battle with cancer. He was born September 9, 1952 in Elwood, the son of Ralph C. and Martha J. (Tubbs) Arbuckle. Jon was a 1971 graduate of Frankton High School. He owned and operated Jon's Transmissions for 25 years until he retired in 2019. Jon loved to work on cars and was an exceptionally skilled mechanic. His favorite car was his 1957 Chevy, and he especially liked to race cars at the drag strip. He also enjoyed golfing, watching football, and formerly coaching baseball. Jon had a favorite chair on his porch, and he liked nothing more than just sitting and being outside. He cared about all animals, but he had a very special dog named "Sadie" who he loved taking on regular walks. Jon truly valued his family and always made himself available to them when needed. He will be remembered as a dedicated father who loved his family more than anything in the world.
