John Glenn Clark , age 60 of Frankton, went home to be with the Lord after a long battle with cancer on Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2024. He was born on April 3, 1964 to the late Fawnie and Alice (Carr) Clark. On Oct. 7, 1989 he married the love of his life, Teresa Oglesbee, and they shared 35 years of marriage together. John worked for Poindexter Excavating Co. in Indianapolis for 37 years. He was a member of Southside Community Church in Elwood. He loved old cars, watching Grit T.V. and John Wayne movies, and working with wood. He hand-made many miniature churches from wood for family and friends. He will be remembered for his smile, even when he wasn't feeling the best. John will also be remembered for his kind heart and by always helping those around him.
John's family includes his wife, Teresa Clark of Frankton; 2 children, Megan (husband Cuong) Tran of Indianapolis, and Jacob Clark of Omega; his pride and joy, a.k.a "Little Buddy", grandson, Arthur Tran of Indianapolis; 2 sisters, Shirley Watts of Omega and Judy (husband Mike) Temme of Florida; in-laws, Don and Joyce Oglesbee of Frankton; brother and sister-in law, Donald and Cheryl Oglesbee of Frankton; sister-in-law, Terri Clark; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews. John was preceded in death by his parents, Fawnie and Alice Clark; 2 brothers, Steven Clark and Roger Clark; brother-in-law, Homer Watts; 3 good friends that fought the battle alongside him, Eric Rushton, Steve Spears, and Rick Johnson.
A funeral service celebrating John's life and faith will be conducted at 11:00 am on Monday, Oct. 21, 2024 at Southside Community Church in Elwood with Pastor Mark Hahn officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 3 to 7 pm on Sunday, Oct. 20, 2024 at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood. Memorial contributions are suggested to "PCF" (Prostate Cancer Foundation) or St. Jude's Children's Hospital through the funeral home.
