Obituary

Jetta Sue Smith, age 65 of Elwood, died February 2, 2011 at her residence following an extended illness. She was born July 10, 1945 in Columbus, Indiana. She worked as a cook at Elwood Junior High School for 15 years retiring in 1992. She also later worked at King's Systems in Noblesville for 3 years. She was affiliated with the "So Ever Will" Community Church in Edinburgh. She was an avid sports fan, especially of the Indianapolis Colts. She was a devoted grandmother and loved spending time with her family.

Survivors include: 2 Sons – Dan and wife Robin Smith of Tipton and Roger and wife Tiffany Smith of Elwood; Daughter – Sherae and husband Rob Wright of Elwood; Brother – Robert and wife Deanna Clark of Medina, OH; 6 Grandchildren – Forrest Wright, Taylor Laughlin, Sean Smith, Hunter Smith, Isaac Wright, and Hannah Laughlin. Several Nieces; and Special Friends – Carolyn and Teresa.

She was preceded in death by her parents – Earl M. and Violetta (Pruitt) Clark and her husband whom she married September 2, 1966 and who died March 6, 2001 – Richard H. "Dick" Smith.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Monday, February 7, 2011 at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood with Brother Lewis Burton of "So Ever Will" Community Church officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Elwood. Visitation will take place from 1 to 5 PM Sunday, February 6, 2011 at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Riley Children's Hospital or East Main Street Christian Church through the funeral home. Online condolences to the family may be made at www.copherfeslermay.com.
