Jerry A. Wittebort, age 70 of Elwood, died on Friday, June 13, 2014 at Community Hospital in Anderson following a brief illness. He was born on February 21, 1944 in Anderson, the son of Lester Wittebort and Belle (Sult) Wittebort. Jerry retired in 2005 after working for several years in production at King Systems Corporation in Noblesville. He was also formerly employed as a security guard at Marsh Corporate Offices in Indianapolis for several years. He enjoyed golf, rummage sales, and listening to music CD's and records. Jerry especially took pride in his house and caring for his lawn.

Jerry's family includes two daughters, Tammy Connors of Elwood, and Lisa of Marion; sister, Donna M. (husband Bill) Leavell of Elwood; devoted brother, Larry "Buck" Wittebort of Elwood; a granddaughter; a grandson; 5 nephews; and 2 nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Claiton Wittebort; nephew, Jeff Wittebort; step-father, Aubrey Colvin. His sister-in-law, Joa Lee Wittabort, also passed away two days following Jerry's death.
