Obituary

Jerry Alan Robison, age 72 of Casper, Wyoming and formerly of Elwood, passed away unexpectedly on August 6, 2015 at Dukes Memorial Hospital in Peru as a result of a blood clot following surgery. He was born July 22, 1943 in Elwood, the son of Merrill G. and Betty J. (Buttler) Robison. Jerry attended Elwood schools, and was a 1961 graduate of Wendell Willkie High School. He later graduated from Middle Tennessee State University in 1966, and obtained a Master's Degree from Ball State University in 1969. From 1966 to 1969, he taught business and was the Junior Varsity basketball and football coach at Great Mills High School in Great Mills, MD. After he and his family moved to Wyoming, he taught from 1970 to 1986 at East Junior High School where he also coached football, volleyball, track, and basketball with an outstanding record. He was named Coach of the Year in 1977 by the Casper Wyoming Chamber of Commerce. He later taught at Centennial Junior High from 1986 to 1998, after which time he became an Information Technology Supervisor from 1998 to 2000.

Jerry married Patricia Sue Lutz on January 23, 1965 and they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this year in January of 2015. He was a devoted Christian and current member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Casper, Wyoming. He enjoyed playing many sports, skiing, golfing, backpacking, and traveling. In the summer months, he and Patricia enjoyed spending time at their 2nd home in Peru and visiting with family in the Midwest. Jerry devoted his life to teaching, coaching, and his family; and he has left a legacy of family and friends who will remember him forever.

Jerry's family includes his wife of 50 years, Patricia Sue (Lutz) Robison of Casper, WY; beloved daughter, Dr. Jennifer Robison and son-in-law, Brian Loose of Casper, WY; and 2 very special grandchildren, Jason Brian Loose and Christopher James Loose. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Private graveside services will take place at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery in Elwood with members of his family speaking. Burial will follow the service in Sunset Memorial Park. There will be no visitation, but online condolences to the family may be made at www.copherfeslermay.com. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Casper, WY. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Calvary Academy, 1800 S. Conwell, Casper, WY 82601. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood.
