Jason Kipp Hiday, age 37 of Noblesville, died unexpectedly Monday, January 7, 2013 at his residence as a result of a seizure. He was born February 7, 1975 in Anderson, the son of Donald W. and Judy F. (Baker) Hiday. Jason was a certified welder at Advanced Radiant Systems in Fortville, and formerly worked at J. Lewis Small Company in Elwood. He was a 1993 graduate of Elwood Community High School. Jason enjoyed spending time outdoors, fishing, canoeing, hunting arrow heads, and watching the History Channel. He especially loved spending time with his beautiful daughter, Jocelyn, whom he truly adored.

His family includes his father and stepmother, Donald and Linda Hiday of Gas City; daughter, Jocelyn Marie Hiday of Elwood; maternal grandmother, Mary Simmons of Elwood; 4 brothers, Jeremy K. Hiday of New Castle, Joshua K. Hiday of Alexandria, Jacob W.R. Hiday of Noblesville, and Wendell S. (Cassondra) Hiday of Melvin, KY; 3 sisters, Amy (Eric) Sullivan of Elwood, Melissa (Jason) Howard of Marion, and Wendy Hiday of Marion; long-time girlfriend, Lori Cox of Huntington; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews; and former girlfriend Jaclyn Cole of Elwood.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Judy F. (Baker) Hiday; paternal grandparents, Roy and Nola Hiday; maternal grandparents William Baker, Jr. and Thomas Simmons.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Friday, January 11, 2013 at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood with Rev. James Sharber of the Center Grove Baptist Church in Phlox officiating. Burial will follow in the Elwood City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3 to 7 PM Thursday, January 10, 2013 at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home.
