James E. "Jim" Boroff , age 66 and a longtime resident of Elwood, passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis following a very brief illness.  He was born October 7, 1952 in Greenville, OH, the son of Wilbur and Evangeline (Bouge) Boroff.  Jim was a welder most of his working life, formerly working in Greenfield and the Hendricks Company in Indianapolis.  Jim also formerly worked at Highway Oil gas station on Main Street in Elwood and worked at the Save-On Liquor Store in Elwood for several years.  Jim married Pamela S. Cox on December 4, 1974 and they shared over 44 years of marriage together.  He enjoyed fishing and being outdoors when he was younger, and also enjoyed video gaming later in life.  Jim was especially passionate about his Harley Davidson motorcycle and enjoyed several memorable trips including a trip to Sturgis and Devil's Tower.  Jim will be greatly missed by his family who loved him very much.

Jim's family includes his wife, Pamela Boroff of Elwood; 3 children, Jimmie Boroff of Indianapolis, Richard (wife Lora) Skinner of Indianapolis, and Kimberly Stacey of Elwood; 7 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and many extended family members on both Jim and Pam's sides of the family.  He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Tammy Kaufman in 2004; and numerous brothers and sisters.

A funeral service celebrating Jim's life will be held at 12:00 pm (Noon) on Saturday, July 27, 2019 at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood with Pastor Rodney Ellis of the First Missionary Baptist Church officiating.  Burial will follow in the Elwood City Cemetery.  Visitation for family and friends will be held from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm prior to the funeral on Saturday at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home.  Online condolences and memories may be shared at copherfeslermay.com.
