Jadd A. Everson, age 21 of Elwood, died Saturday, October 22, 2011 at St. Vincent Mercy Hospital in Elwood as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born October 15, 1990 in Kokomo – the son of Bruce A. and Lynnee E. (Haynes) Everson. He had worked as an upholsterer at Parker's Upholstery Shop in Summitville. He attended Elwood schools and later attended Harrison College in Anderson studying criminal justice. He was formerly active in the Elwood Boy Scouts and attended Grace United Methodist Church in Elwood. He enjoyed woodcarving, fishing, gardening, and art. He was an avid outdoorsman, and especially enjoyed spending time with his niece, Ella.
He is survived by: Mother – Lynnee E. (Haynes) Everson of Elwood; Sister – Ashley N. Everson-Collier of Elwood; Maternal Grandparents – Arthur and Rachel Haynes of Elwood; Paternal Grandmother – Immogene Everson of Elwood; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; Beloved niece – Ella Collier; Special cousin – Megan Lehman; Special friend – Elizabeth Price; and step-nieces and step-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his Father – Bruce A. Everson; Paternal Grandfather – Francis E. Everson; Maternal Grandparents – Walter & Sally Tucker and Floyd & Eva Haynes.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood with Rev. Jim Nickles of the Grace United Methodist Church in Elwood officiating. Visitation will be held from 2 to 8 PM Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at the funeral home. Burial will take place at a later date in the Elwood City Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Elwood Boy Scout Program through the funeral home.
