Jack R. Hutcheson, age 84 of Kokomo, died Friday, December 27, 2013 at his residence. He and his twin brother, John, were born February 15, 1929, the sons of Roy Augustus and Maude (Everling) Hutcheson-St.Clair. They were the first set of twins ever born at Mercy Hospital in Elwood. Jack was a farmer and the owner of Hutcheson Equipment Sales in Kokomo for many years. He was also the owner of the Landmark Inn Restaurant in Kokomo for several years, and retired in 2008 as Farm Manager of Brunner Estates in Algonquin, Illinois. Jack was a 1948 graduate of Elwood High School. He was a member of Harmony Christian Church, and a life member of the Elwood Elks Lodge # 368. Jack helped establish the Mid-America Threshing Show. He loved spending time with his family and friends - especially his grandchildren.
Jack's family includes 3 children, Brenda (Phil) Holt of Noblesville, Jackie S. (Jody) Hutcheson of Kokomo, and Lori (Scott) Poore of Elwood; 6 grandchildren, Reggie (Jaime) Holt, Ryan (Laura) Holt, Jack (Alaina) Hutcheson, Preston Poore, Zachary Hutcheson, and Alli Poore; 6 great-grandchildren, Tyson Holt, Addy Hutcheson, Morgan Holt, Quinn Holt, Jackson Hutcheson, and Rachel Holt; former wife, Birdena C. Hill of Elwood; several nephews; and a niece.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents; 4 siblings, Jean Startsman, Betty O'Leary, Roy Hutcheson, Jr., and twin brother, John Hutcheson.
Visitation for family and friends will be held from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM Monday, December 30, 2013 at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood. Funeral services will be private with Rev.
