Obituary

Herman "Snyder" Bellamy, age 75 of Frankton, died Sunday, July 8, 2012 surrounded by his family at his residence after an extended illness. He was born March 19, 1937 in Sizerock, KY, the son of Oscar and Cassie (Hoskins) Bellamy. Snyder worked in maintenance for Airfoil Textron Corporation(Ex-Cello) in Elwood for 25 years. He served his country in the National Guard. He was formerly a member of the First Church of God in Elwood and a former member of the Elwood Elks Lodge #368 in Elwood. He was an avid NASCAR fan and Jeff Gordon was his favorite driver. Snyder was a huge Elvis Presley fan and enjoyed playing the guitar and singing with his family.

Survivors include 5 children, Herman (Sue) Bellamy of Muncie, Kathy McDonald of Bear Lake, MI,
Todd (Shelly) Bellamy of Elwood, Kerry (Lara) Bellamy of Frankton, and Tina Bellamy of Frankton; sister, Cathy (Ben) Tucker of Jacksonville, FL; 8 grandchildren, Todd Bellamy Jr., Julie Jackson, Tammy Taylor, Adam Cowsert, Robert Partington, Tyler McDonald, Crystal Summers, and Dannie Dautrich; 7 great-grandchildren, Aaron, Damon, Ronald, Alex, Jordan, Bella, and Ava; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by, parents; former wife, Joycetta Marie Tomlinson who died in 2003; and sister, Wanda Cook.

A memorial service will be held Friday, July 13, 2012 at 6:00PM at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood in Elwood with Snyder's son, Rev. Herman Bellamy, officiating. Burial will be held at a later date. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the funeral home on Friday.
