Helen Breitwieser, age 82 of Muncie and formerly of Elwood died January 19, 2012 at Morrison Woods Health Campus in Muncie after an extended illness. She was born August 3, 1929 in Elwood the daughter of Byron E. and Lois (Baker) Gill. She worked as an administrative assistant for the Indiana & Michigan Electric Company for nearly 40 years before retiring in April of 1991. She was a 1947 graduate of Elwood High School. Helen married Mark A. Breitwieser on November 9, 1946. She was a devoted member of St. John Lutheran Church in Elwood and was a member of the T.A.G. women's group. She was a member of Kappa Delta Phi sorority. Helen enjoyed cooking and baking and particularly enjoyed entertaining friends and family in her home. She loved making crafts and decorating her home. She formerly enjoyed playing Bridge, reading and traveling.

Survivors include: 2 Brothers – Lloyd K. (wife Judy) Gill of Sellersburg, and Jerry M. (wife Barbara) Gill of Muncie; 2 Sisters-in-law – Ruth Evans and Olivia Breitwieser; Former sister-in-law – Jane Smithson of Greenfield; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by: Parents; Husband – Mark A. Breitwieser who died in 2002; Sister – Carolyn Scott; 2 Brothers – Richard Gill and C. Edwin Gill.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Monday, January 23, 2012 at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood with Pastor Jeff Iacobazzi of St. John Lutheran Church officiating. Entombment will follow in the Elwood City Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation will take place from
