Gregory B. "Greg" Elder, age 58 of Elwood, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, October 6, 2016 at St. Vincent Mercy Hospital in Elwood. He was born August 12, 1958 in Hamilton County, the son of Sydney E. and Nyla (Winders) Elder. Greg worked in the construction industry most of his life, specializing in siding and roofing. He was very proud to serve his country in the United States Army. Greg was an avid fan of the Indianapolis Colts, and enjoyed watching NASCAR, especially following his favorite driver Jeff Gordon. He also liked to spend time outdoors fishing. More than anything, Greg will be remembered for his sense of humor and story-telling.

Greg's family includes son, Cody Elder of Kokomo; wife Alyce Zukowski of Kokomo; sister, Judi (husband David) Hunt of Cicero; brother, Jeffrey Elder of Indianapolis; sister-in-law, Debra (husband Mike) Ducheteau of Kokomo; 2 nephews, Boyd Morris of Cicero, and Bret (fiancé Ashley) Morris of Tennessee; niece, Justina (husband Michael) Adams of Noblesville; and several other extended family members.

Greg was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Sharon Mobley; brother, Jack Elder; and nephew Troy Mobley.

A memorial service celebrating Greg's life will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood with members of the family honoring Greg's life. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 PM prior to the funeral service.
