Obituary

Fredrick E. Sizelove, age 86 – a lifelong resident of Elwood, died Monday, May 27, 2013 at his residence following a brief illness. He was born July 1, 1926 in Elwood, the son of Clinton and Ruth (Fouts) Sizelove. Fred retired in 1982 from RCA Corporation in Marion where he worked in Security for more than 20 years. He also retired in 1991 from the Indiana National Guard where she served for more than 30 years. Fred married Eula Mae Nacoff on August 20, 1950. He served his country in the United States Army during World War II, and later re-enlisted to serve during the Korean War. While serving in the Army, he was stationed in Germany, the Pacific Islands, and Hawaii. He was a devoted member of the First United Methodist Church in Elwood, and was known for being a very patriotic person. Fred enjoyed traveling with his family and he and Eula enjoyed spending the winter months in Mexico Beach, Florida for many years. He also liked to watch Television, and especially enjoyed watching war movies. He was a very devoted husband, father and grandfather; and will be greatly missed by his family.

Fred's family includes his wife of more than 62 years, Eula Mae (Nacoff) Sizelove of Elwood; 3 children, Deborah Sue (husband Jeff) Frazier of Elwood, Cynthia Ann (husband John) Dobelbower of Muncie, and Brian J. (wife Sherry) Sizelove of Elwood; brother, Stephen (wife Linda) Sizelove of Atlanta, GA; sister, Alberta Fettig of Washington State; 4 grandchildren, Benjamin Frazier, Adam Frazier, Ashley Sizelove and Elton Sizelove; 4 great grandchildren, A.J. Frazier, Mackenzy Frazier, Madison Frazier, and Michael Scott.

Fred was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Frederick J. Sizelove; and 2 brothers, John Sizelove and Gene Sizelove.

A graveside funeral service will be conducted at 12:30 PM on Thursday, May 30, 2013 at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery in Elwood with Dr. Chris Dare of the First United Methodist Church in Elwood officiating. Military honors will be conducted by the United States Military and the Elwood V.F.W. / American Legion Honor Guard. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood. Memorial contributions are suggested to the First United Methodist Church or the Elwood V.F.W Honor Guard fund through the funeral home.
