Eula M. Sizelove, age 87, of Summitville and formerly of Elwood, passed away surrounded by her family on Monday, April 18, 2016 at Summit Convalescent Center in Summitville after an extended illness and a well-lived life. She was born October 26, 1928 in Orestes, the daughter of John and Martha (McArthur) Nacoff. Eula retired from Delco Remy Corporation in 1990 where she worked in production for more than 30 years. She was a 1946 graduate of Alexandria High School. She later married Frederick E. Sizelove on August 20, 1950 and they spent more than 62 years together. Eula was a devoted member of the First United Methodist Church in Elwood where she taught Sunday school for many years. She also served on various church boards and committees, and was formerly an active member of the United Methodist Women. She was a member of the U.A.W. #662. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, traveling, and spending winters in Mexico Beach, Florida. Eula especially enjoyed gardening and was awarded the Elwood Pride Award for the attention she gave her home and her beautiful flowers. She was also an avid Indianapolis Colts fan. Christmas was very special to her and she spent many hours decorating her home for the holidays. She was extremely devoted to her children and grandchildren, and they will always remember her for being a good cook.
Eula's family includes 3 children, Deborah Sue (husband Jeff) Frazier of Elwood, Cynthia Ann (husband John) Dobelbower of Muncie, and Brian J. (wife Sherry) Sizelove of Elwood; a sister, Diana Wallace of Indianapolis; 4 grandchildren, Benjamin Frazier, Adam Frazier, Ashley Sizelove, Elton Sizelove; 4 great grandchildren, AJ Frazier, Mackenzy Frazier, Madison Frazier, and Michael Scott; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of more than 62 years, Frederick E. Sizelove who died May 27, 2013; a son, Frederick J. Sizelove; 2 sisters, Leona Welches and Mildred Pebernat; and 3 brothers, Boris Nacoff, John Nacoff, Jr., and Stephen "Larry" Nacoff.
A funeral service celebrating Eula's life will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Thursday, April 21, 2016 at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood with Rev. Jenny Charles of the First United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will take place from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM prior to the funeral service at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home on Thursday.
