Eric Eugene Faulstich , age 54 of Marion and formerly of Elwood, passed away unexpectedly on Aug. 14, 2024 in Marion.  He was the son of Dennis L. Faulstich and Rebecca S. (Boyer) Faulstich-Cunningham.  Eric was a 1988 graduate of Elwood Community High School in Elwood before attending the Phoenix Institute of Technology in Arizona for electronics.  He was baptized at East Main Street Christian Church in Elwood.  Eric formerly worked in production at Hayes Wheels Foundry in Huntington before retiring due to his health.  He married Amber (Metz) Blackford on January 30, 2021, and she passed away in 2022.

Eric loved spending time outdoors – fishing, camping, and sitting around a good fire with friends and family.  He also enjoyed playing pool, gaming with his brothers, taking care of his yard, and working with crafts as well as painting in recent years.  Eric was an avid fan of I.U. sports, the Indianapolis Colts, and NASCAR driver Jimmie Johnson.  In his free time, he loved nothing more than spending time with his beloved cats and listening to classic rock music.  Eric will be remembered as a person who enjoyed a simple life and was friendly to everyone.

Eric's family includes his father, Dennis Faulstich of Marion; 3 siblings, Craig (Maria) Faulstich of Marion, Vincent Faulstich of Marion, and Tricia George (Ryan Luzadder) of Elwood; uncles and aunts, Michael Faulstich, Timothy (Joyce) Faulstich, Angie (Pat) Green, Shawn Faulstich, Michelle Lowe, and Kendall (Georgeann) Boyer; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.  Eric was preceded in death by his wife, Amber Faulstich; mother, Rebecca Cunningham; grandparents, Lawrence and Virginia Faulstich and Leland and Virgie Boyer; sister-in-law, Angie Faulstich; and uncles, Dana Faulstich and Christopher Faulstich.

A funeral service celebrating Eric's life will be held on Monday, August 19, 2024 at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood with Rev. Roger Gardner officiating.  Visitation for family and friends will be held from 2 to 4 pm on Monday prior to the funeral at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home.  Cremation will follow the services.  Online condolences and memories may be shared at www.copherfeslermay.com.
