Emily Marie Michael , age 21 of Elwood, passed away very unexpectedly on Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2025 at St. Vincent Mercy Hospital in Elwood.  She was born August 27, 2003 in Anderson, the daughter of Jason D. and Deanna (Thomas) Michael.  Emily was a member of the class of 2023 at Elwood High School.  She was artistically gifted and enjoyed painting and drawing.  Emily could spend hours playing video games on her X-Box, especially Fortnite, World of Warcraft, and Grounded.  She was very family-oriented and loved to spend time at home everyone.  Emily will be greatly missed by all who loved her.

Emily's family includes her mother, Deanna Michael of Elwood; 3 sisters, Brittani (husband Justin) Donaldson of Tennessee, Sarah Michael (Taylor Faulstich) of Elwood, and Hannah Michael (Darren Shipley) of Pendleton; nephew, James Donaldson; boyfriend, William Buyers of Marion; best friend, Korri Street of Elwood and her daughter, Charlie Street; and numerous extended family members and friends.  Emily was preceded in death by her father, Jason Michael.

Cremation will take place and there will be no formal services at this time.  A celebration of life will take place at a later date by Emily's family.   Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood in honored to handle Emily's arrangements.  Memorial contributions are suggested to Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home to help offset unexpected funeral expenses.
