Elouise Jane Wisehart, age 77 of Elwood, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 30, 2018 at Community Parkview Care Center in Elwood following an extended illness. She was born May 12, 1940 in Shirley, the daughter of Orville L. and Berenetha (Lyndsay) Ebbert. Elouise worked in production for King Systems for 11 years and retired in 2004. She had formerly worked at Mangas Cafeteria in Elwood for many years, baking pies and cooking delicious meals. She married Byron Wisehart in 2003, and he later passed away in 2006. Elousie was a woman of Christian faith. She enjoyed playing many games including Euchre, Yahtzee, and Bingo. Elouise was known for her great cooking, and her contribution of delicious pies at family dinners. More than anything, she will be remembered as a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Elouise's family includes son, Kevin (wife Tammy) Wisehart of Elwood; sister, Eva (husband Norman) Erdman of Elwood; 2 grandchildren, Harrison Wisehart and Josie Marie Wisehart; 3 step-grandchildren, Jason Holloway, Josuah Holloway, and Jared Holloway; 2 great-grandchildren, Raeghan Wisehart and Peyton Wisehart; 6 step-great-grandchildren, Jaelynn Holloway, Julianna Holloway, Jude Holloway, Josie Holloway, Quinn Holloway, and Christopher Holloway; and several nieces and nephews.
Elouise was preceded in death by her parents; husband; 3 brothers, Ralph Ebbert, Dale Ebbert, and Eddie Jo Ebbert; 4 sisters, Ferne Johnson, Helen Wisehart, Mary Howe, and Anne Crockett; and 2 grandchildren, Kara Wisehart, and Jason Wisehart.
A graveside service honoring Elouise's life will be held 1:00 PM on Monday, April 2, 2018 at McCray Cemetery in Wilkinson with a member of the family speaking. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Elwood Animal Shelter through the funeral home. Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home is honored to care for Elouise's funeral arrangements.
