Ellen D. Frazier, age 94 of Noblesville and former longtime resident of Elwood, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 06, 2017 at Riverview Health Hospital in Noblesville after a long, well-lived life. She was born on October 4, 1922 in Leesburg, Indiana, the daughter of Herman V. and Mable (Beyer) Bruning. Ellen worked at Edgewood Elementary School in the cafeteria for many years. She was a 1940 graduate of Elwood High School, and later married the love of her life, John H. "Jack" Frazier on December 30, 1947. They shared over 54 years of marriage together. She grew up in the Methodist Church in Elwood, and later attended East Main Street Christian Church in Elwood for several years. Ellen was a devoted homemaker all of her life, and enjoyed playing cards, especially bridge and euchre. She was also a former member of Tri-Kappa Sorority and the Order of Eastern Star. More than anything, Ellen will be remembered for her devotion to all of her family.
Ellen's surviving family includes son, Charles H. (wife Andrea) Frazier of Cicero, 2 daughters, Louise A. (husband Dr. Tom) Moretto, and Lynn M. Hare of New Palestine; 6 grandchildren, Brian (wife Tina) Frazier, Amy Mack, Colby (wife Dr. Lanie) Huffman, Catherine Adams, Dawn (husband Lee) Johnson, and Tina (husband Wes) Sumner; and 45 additional grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John H. "Jack" Frazier in 2002; brother, Cressel Bruning; and son-in-law, Doug Hare.
Ellen's family would like to thank the staff of Riverview Hospital, Dr. Wunder, and the staff at The Lodge in Noblesville for all their care and help in making her final journey easier and full of faith and grace. Their help will never be forgotten.
