Eileen Zwayer , age 65 of Fort Wayne and formerly of Elwood, passed away peacefully in the presence of her family on Friday, September 27, 2019 following an extended illness.  She was born October 21, 1953 in Harlan County, Kentucky, the daughter of James and Martha (Johnson) Griffin.  She worked in production for various manufacturing companies over the years, and was currently retired.  Eileen and her beloved late husband, David Zwayer, enjoyed many memorable trips riding together as part of the Harley-Davidson motorcycle club.  She was loved very much by her family, and she will be greatly missed.

Eileen's family includes 3 children, Michelle (husband Shane) Lambert of Fort Wayne, Christopher Thomas of OH and Heather Zwayer of Fort Wayne; her sister, Sheila Elliott of Elwood; brother, James Griffin of Ohio; 7 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband David Zwayer in 2013; 8 siblings Johnny Ealy, Clifford Griffin, David Griffin, Billy Griffin, Norma Jean Royce, Connie Griffin, Rufus Griffin, and infant Betty Griffin; and a grandson Kaidyn Thomas.
