Donna Mae (Reichart) Reese-Fry, age 86 of Elwood, died Saturday, August 4, 2012 at Community Parkview Care Center in Elwood following a brief illness. She was born May 11, 1926 in Elwood, the daughter of Grover and Ethel (Snodgrass) Reichart. She married John Robert Reese on November 3, 1943. Following his death, she later married Charles E. Fry on April 23, 1969. She
worked in the polishing department of Airfoil Textron (formerly Ex-Cello Corporation) in Elwood for 22 years and retired August 25, 1988. She was formerly secretary of United Auto Workers Union Local #1384 for several years. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother; and especially enjoyed holidays with her family. Donna played in an Elwood Euchre card club for many years. She also enjoyed gardening, taking care of her home, and baking for her family.

Survivors include 2 sons, John T. "Tom" (wife Christa) Reese of Elwood and Richard E. "Dick" (wife Reta) Reese of Byrdstown, TN; 5 Grandchildren, J.R. (wife Julie) Reese, Jack (wife Stephanie) Reese, Eric Reese (companion Trish), Scott Reese, and Shelby Reese all of Elwood; 4 Great-Grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, John Robert Reese who died in 1962; second husband, Charles E. Fry who died in 2005; son, Robert C. Reese; sister, Louise Smith; brother, Lando Reichart; and granddaughter, Melissa Reese.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood with Sister Rosie Coughlin officiating. Visitation will be held from Noon to 2:00 PM prior to the funeral on Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Elwood City Cemetery in Elwood.
