David Keith Shepard, age 68 of Anderson and formerly of Elwood, died peacefully on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at Manor Care Health Center in Anderson following a brief illness. He was born on April 9, 1947 in Elwood the son of Vernon and Mary (Crull) Shepard. David was self-employed as a roofer for over 30 years in the surrounding area. He was proud to have served his country in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed watching television – especially the Andy Griffith Show and Gunsmoke.

David's surviving family includes 4 children, Beverly Shepard, Jody Shepard, David Shepard, Jr., and Douglas Shepard; 2 brothers, Arnold (wife Diane) Shepard of Frankton and Charles "Chuck" (wife Jean) Shepard of Elwood; and sister, Roberta (husband Phil) Roe of Tipton; and caretaker and friend, James Call.

Funeral services celebrating David's life will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood with Rev. Mary Hofer officiating. Burial will follow in Hobbs Cemetery in Tipton County. Visitation will be held from 10 AM to 11 AM prior to the funeral on Saturday at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home.
