David Keith Raper, age 64 of Kokomo, died Saturday, February 12, 2011 at Howard Regional Health System in Kokomo following a brief illness. He was born October 2, 1946 in Anderson, Indiana. He attended Alexandria High School. He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He retired after 25 years as a production group leader at Delco Electronics in Kokomo and was a member of the United Auto Workers Union in Kokomo. He enjoyed reading and watching television.

Survivors include: 3 Daughters – Annie and husband Mark Pickering of Frankton, Marla Raper of Elwood, and Teresa and husband Mark Ferren of Kokomo; Sister – Marilyn and husband Noble Gabrielson of Reno, NV; 3 Grandchildren – Ashley Marie Curtis, Brianna Nichole Pickering, and McKayla Dawn Ferren; and 2 Nieces. He was preceded in death by: Parents – Harold Raper and June Ellen (Collyer) Shehan; Wife – Joan (Barker) Raper; and Granddaughter – Lacey Curtis.

Following cremation, graveside services and burial of ashes will take place at a later date at the K. of P. – I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Frankton. There will be no visitation. Memorial contributions may be made to the McKayla Ferren College Fund through the funeral home. Arrangements have been entrusted to Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood.
