Obituary

David L. Faulstich, age 66 of Elwood, passed away early Saturday morning, October 25, 2014 surrounded by his family at his residence in Elwood. He was born as a triplet on December 20, 1947 in Elwood the son of Bernard V. and Mary E. (Doores) Faulstich. He and his brothers, Charles and James, were the only identical triplets ever born in Elwood. Dave was a 1966 graduate of Frankton High School and later married the love of his life, Christine M. Jarvis, on September 3rd, 1966. Dave worked in production for 30 years at Delco Remy in Anderson and retired in 1996. He later worked as a driver and assistant at Hembree Motor Sales in Elwood for several years. He attended the First United Methodist Church in Elwood; was a member of the U.A.W. #662; and was a member of the Elwood Lions Club. Dave was a car enthusiast, and especially enjoyed owning a classic Chevrolet El Camino. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather – and could be described as a "gentle soul" who was a friend to everyone; and was always willing to help others. He will be greatly missed by his friends and family.

Dave's family includes wife of 48 years, Christine M. (Jarvis) Faulstich of Elwood; 2 daughters, Lori Poor of Elwood and Amy (husband Rusty) Dudley of Elwood; sister, Patty Williams of Purcell, OK; 6 grandchildren, Kristin, Blake, Brookelynn, Austyn, Klaetyn, and Tabitha; 2 great-grandchildren, Aadyn and Braylen; loving dog, Cesar; sisters-in-law, Phyllis Faulstich of Elwood, Linda Faulstich of Alexandria, Tammy (husband Rick)Swager of Elwood, and Joni (husband Dave) Cleaver of Fort Collins, CO; mother-in-law, Shirley Plummer of Elwood; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 triplet brothers, Charles Faulstich and James Faulstich.

A funeral service celebrating Dave's life will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood with Rev. Jennifer Charles of the First United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery in Elwood. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 4 to 8 PM on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Elwood Lions Club or St Vincent Mercy Hospital Foundation (for pulmonary rehab patients). Online condolences may be made at copherfeslermay.com.
