David E. Clark, age 75 of Frankton, died unexpectedly on October 20, 2012 at Community Hospital in Anderson. He was born January 2, 1937 in Elwood, the son of Alvey J. and Vera J. (McCarty) Clark. He was a 1955 graduate of Wendell L. Willkie High School. He worked in production for 31 years at Continental Can Corporation in Elwood and was a member of the Steel Workers Union. He also formerly worked at F.M.C. Corporation in Elwood, K-Mart in Noblesville, and Warner Press in Anderson. He married Leota M. (Humerickhouse) Brown on September 1, 1972. David was an airplane enthusiast; an avid collector of many different things; and especially enjoyed dining out with his wife.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Leota M. (Humerickhouse) Clark of Frankton; 5 children, Debra E. O'Neil of Anderson, Donald J. Clark of Indianapolis, Rodney A. (wife Allison) Clark of Elwood, Rita K. Clark of Ettrick, VA, and Darrell C. Clark of Elwood; 3 step-children, Danny Brown of Elwood, James Brown of Anderson, and Patty Ann (husband Richard) Shrock of Elwood; 2 sisters, Linda (husband Eddie) Etchison of Noblesville, and Carolyn White of Florida; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a step-son, Mickey Brown.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood with Rev. Nate Warren of the Grace Baptist Church in Elwood officiating. Burial will take place in K. of P. – I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Frankton following the funeral service. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Tuesday prior to the service at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home.
