Darlene Fay
Boruff
Sep 20, 1944 — Aug 20, 2025
Darlene Fay Boruff, age 80 of Elwood, passed away on Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at Elwood Health & Living following an extended illness. She was born September 20, 1944 in Topeka, Kansas, the daughter of Floyd L. and Florence (Schilling) Andrews. Darlene was a 1962 graduate of Topeka West High School. She married the love of her life, Ronald Dale Boruff on October 7, 1962, and they shared over 62 years of marriage together before his passing this year on May 24, 2025. Darlene was an exceptional wife and mother and always put the needs of others before her own. She supported her children in all their school activities and sports. Darlene was a longtime member of the First Presbyterian Church in Elwood. Darlene and Ron enjoyed many memorable trips together throughout the years, but some of the best moments were simply spending time together on their back patio. She especially enjoyed being outdoors, tending to her garden, and making crafts of all kinds. More than anything, Darlene will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother, and her family finds great comfort knowing she is reunited with her beloved Ron in Heaven.
Darlene's family includes son, Jeff Boruff (Christy Hope) of Noblesville; daughter, Pam (Rodney) Perdew of New Castle; 2 grandchildren, Austin Perdew and Tanner Perdew (fiancé Stevie Harmon); 2 sisters-in-law, Joann Williams of Elwood and Bernadene Andrews of Kansas; and several nieces and nephews. Darlene was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ronald Boruff; sister, Marguerite (Willard) Combs; and brother, Paul Andrews.
A graveside funeral service honoring Darlene's life and faith will take place at 11:00 am on Tuesday, August 26, 2025 at Sunset Cemetery in Elwood with Rev. Phil Votaw of the First Presbyterian Church officiating. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood.
