Danny J. Kimbrough, age 79 of Windfall, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at his residence following a sudden illness. He was born May 6, 1938 in White Pine, Tennessee, the son of Daniel Wesley and Oral Nancy (Morie) Kimbrough. Danny was a 1957 graduate of Windfall High School, and remained in the Windfall community all of his life. Danny was self-employed as a farmer and worked in agriculture all of his life. He married the love of his life, Ramona J. Cox, on April 15, 1960 and they shared over 57 years of marriage together. Danny was a devoted member of Windfall Christian Church. He especially enjoyed time with his friends and "coffee club" buddies. Danny also enjoyed country music shows, and he and Ramona traveled to Hawaii for their 50 th anniversary where Danny enjoyed a tour of Hawaiian farms. More than anything, Danny was passionate about farming and his family. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather; and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Danny's family legacy includes his wife, Ramona (Cox) Kimbrough of Windfall; son, Scott E. (wife Rhonda) Kimbrough of Windfall; daughter, Lisa R. (husband Jovon) Rayl of Sharpsville; sister, Mattie (husband Allen) Cain of Tipton; 10 grandchildren, Danielle (husband Brandon) Sexton of Greenwood, Kaitlyn, Libby, Jared, Noland, Zachari, and Cayleigh Kimbrough all of Windfall, Nathan, Logan, and Holden Rayl all of Sharpsville; great-granddaughter, Addison Sexton and another expected in 2018; daughter-in-law, Connie Kimbrough (companion Donnie Treadway); and numerous nieces and nephews. Danny was preceded in death by his parents; son, Danny Michael "Mike" Kimbrough; and sister, Rusha (and husband Al) Gilbert.
A funeral service celebrating Danny's life will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Monday, October 30, 2017 at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood with Rev. Carl Roudebush and Rev. Dave Stout officiating. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery in Windfall. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 2 to 6 PM on Sunday, October 29, 2017 at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Windfall Volunteer Fire Department or the Dudley Lacey Food Pantry through the funeral home.
