Danny Joe Hoose , age 70, a lifelong resident of Elwood, passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2024 at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis following an extended illness.  He was born January 3, 1954 in Elwood, the son of Dan and Floma (Moore) Hoose.  Danny was a 1972 graduate of Wendell L. Willkie High School.  He was a lifelong faithful member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Elwood and was a loyal and active member of the K of C and attended meetings regularly.  Danny formerly worked for Fettig Canning Company in Elwood for several years.  He enjoyed playing games, especially cards and bingo.  He was also an avid Indianapolis Colts fan and enjoyed watching their games.  Danny always loved being around his family and friends and he will be dearly missed.

Danny's family includes brother, Michael A. (wife Darlene) Hoose of Elwood; 2 nephews, Christopher (wife Amber) Hoose of Muncie and Patrick Hoose of Frankton.  Danny was preceded in death by his parents.

A funeral mass celebrating Danny's life will be conducted at 11:00 am on Friday, June 28, 2024 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Elwood with Father Dennis Goth officiating.  Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Elwood.  Visitation for family and friends will be held from 9:30 am to 10:30 am on Friday prior to the funeral mass at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home.   The family would like to thank the employees of Elwood Health and Living and Assisted Living for their care of Danny while he was with them.  Memorial contributions are suggested to the Morrisett Center in Elwood through the funeral home.  Online condolences and memories may be shared at copherfeslermay.com.
