Colten B. Mince, age 22 of Elwood, went to be with the Lord Saturday, August 30, 2014. He was born May 12, 1992 in Tipton, the son of Brent Mince and Kelli (Barber) English. He worked as a Landscaper for Mike John's Landscaping. Colten attended Elwood schools. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and landscaping. Colten loved playing guitar and hanging out with his friends and family. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Colten's family is proud that he was an organ donor and through his donation was able to save the lives of 6 people.

Colten's family includes his mother, Kelli (husband Rob) English of Louisiana; father, Brent Mince of Kokomo; siblings, Tre' English of Louisiana, Derrick Mince, Haleigh Harden, and Leah Faris all of Kokomo; grandparents, Joyce Ann Barber of Elwood, Richard (wife Sandy) Mince of Kokomo, and Susie (husband Tim) McBee of Kokomo; great grandparents, Don & Anita Barber of Tipton and Eva Nell Shoffner of Russiaville ; girlfriend Ashley Edwards and son Benjamin of Anderson; family member, Clint Harden; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Phillip Lee Barber; and great grandparents, Ted Shoffner and Luella & Richard Jones.

A celebration of Colten's life will be conducted at 7:00 PM on Thursday, September 4, 2014 at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood with Pastor Terry Foster of Kokomo Missionary Baptist Church officiating. Burial will take place at a later date at Cook Cemetery at New Lancaster. Visitation for family and friends will be 5 to 7 PM Thursday, September 4, 2014 at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home.
