Obituary

Clifford J. Glotzbach, age 76 of Elwood, died Thursday February 2, 2012 at Community Hospital in Anderson following an extended illness. He was born November 15, 1935 in Elwood, the son of Charles and Rachel (Beeman) Glotzbach. Clifford worked in Production for Delco Remy in Anderson for over 32 years before retiring in 1987. He was a 1954 graduate of Frankton High School and served his country in the U.S. Navy. He was baptized at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Elwood. He was a life member of the Elwood V.F.W. Post 5782. Clifford enjoyed fishing, reading the newspaper every day, and visiting with his family.

Survivors include: Daughter – Virginia "Kathy" (husband Robert Mack) Creek of St. Genevieve, MO.; Sister – Linda Ead of Elwood; Brother – Paul Glotzbach of Elwood; 2 Granddaughters – Betsy (husband Anthony) Laws of St. Genevieve, MO., and Catherine (husband Pricilliano) Mendoza of St. Genevieve, MO.; 5 Great-grandchildren – Dylan Laws, Crimsin Hernandez-Creek, Max Hernandez, Ryan Laws and Chris Mendoza; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Daughter – Cheryl Glotzbach; Sister – Rita Disbennett; 2 Brothers – Richard Glotzbach and George William Glotzbach; Grandson – Donald Creek; 2 Brothers-in-Law – Jackie Ead and Rex Disbennett; and Sister-in-Law – Melva Glotzbach.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Monday, February 6, 2012 at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood with Father Alejandro Paternoster of St. Joseph Catholic Church officiating. Burial will take place in St. Joseph Cemetery in Elwood where military graveside rites will be conducted by the U.S. Military and Elwood V.F.W. Honor Guard. Visitation will be held from 2 to 5 PM Sunday, February 5, 2012 at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood. Memorial contributions may be made to the Elwood V.F.W Post 5782 through the funeral home.
