Christine M. Hankley, age 65 of Kokomo and formerly of Elwood, died Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis surrounded by her family after a brief illness. She was born June 11, 1947 in Elwood, the daughter of Allen R. and Mary Louise (Williams) Hankley. She retired as a document control specialist from Delphi Automotive Systems in Kokomo where she had worked for more than 25 years. Christine was a 1965 graduate of Three Rivers High School in Three Rivers, Michigan. She was an active member of the Indian Heights Grace Brethren Church in Kokomo where she formerly served as the church treasurer. Christine enjoyed reading and was an avid cat lover.

Christine's family includes her brother, Patrick (wife Rita) Hankley of Fishers; nephew, Justin (Katrina) Yeary; 3 nieces, Jennifer Hatzell, Emily (husband Andrew) Berger, and Sarah (husband Matt) Potasnik; several great-nieces and great-nephews; and several aunts and uncles.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Harriet Michael; nephew, Jon Yeary.

A memorial service and celebration of Christine's life will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Saturday,
May 4, 2013 at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood with Pastor Larry Richeson of the Indian Heights Grace Brethren Church officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 4, 2013 prior to the memorial service at the funeral home. Burial will take place at a later date.
