Obituary

Chloe "Ellen" (Juday) Graham, age 89 of Fort Wayne and formerly of Elwood, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 16, 2016 at Signature Healthcare in Fort Wayne after a brief illness. She was born October 1, 1926 in Elwood, the daughter of Cordova Paul and Florence Katherine (Ferguson) Juday. Ellen retired in 1975 from Mercy Hospital in Elwood where she was a clerk and secretary for several years. She also formerly worked as a secretary for Ex-cello Corporation in Elwood and A.U.L. in Indianapolis. Ellen was a 1944 graduate of Elwood High School and later attended Fort Wayne International Business College in Fort Wayne. She was a former member of East Main Street Christian Church in Elwood and Geist Christian Church in Indianapolis. Ellen specially enjoyed participating in several Bible study groups, and had a devotion to reading the bible with an ability to memorize numerous scriptures. She was a former member of the Elwood Delta Theta Tau Sorority and Elwood chapter of the Order of Eastern Star. In her spare time, she formerly enjoyed reading, shopping at the dollar store, and more than anything – spending time with her great-grandchildren, whom she absolutely adored.

Ellen's family and legacy includes her daughter, Linda A. (husband Ray) Stover of Columbia City; brother, Joseph Ray (wife Jane) Juday of Winona Lake; 6 grandchildren, Bryce (wife Patty) Stover of Fort Wayne, Alisha (husband Will) Smith of Fort Wayne, Sarah Graham of Anderson, Benjamin (wife Nicole) Graham of Anderson, Pete (Wife Amanda) Graham of Noblesville, and Mary (husband Dave) Smith of Anderson; 11 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Joseph Graham who died in 2006; 2 brothers, Paul Juday and James Juday; and sister-in-law, Jane Juday.

Funeral services celebrating Ellen's life will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Friday, June 24, 2016 at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood with Rev. Roger Gardner of East Main Street Christian Church officiating. Burial will follow in Elwood City Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 11 AM to 2 PM on Friday, June 24, 2016 prior to the funeral service at the funeral home.
