Chase Lennon Callaway , age 27 of Elwood, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, Nov. 20,  2023.  He was born Oct. 9, 1996 in Anderson, the son of Ronald W. Callaway and Dianna Lyn (Trimble) Callaway.  Chase was a member of the class of 2015 of Elwood Community High School.  He worked as a dog groomer assistant at Adorable Pet Grooming in Noblesville.  Chase was known for having an easy-going personality and enjoyed hanging out with his friends.  He especially liked listening to all kinds of music, playing guitar and writing his own lyrics, and spending time skateboarding all around town.  Chase was considered a little bit of a "daredevil" who seldom turned down a challenge or obstacle.  More than anything, his daughter, Loahla, was his pride and joy; and he always strived to be a good father.  Chase will be remembered as a person who was always willing to help others.

Chase's family includes his parents, Dianna Lyn Callaway and Ronald W. Callaway of Elwood; beloved  daughter, Loahla Elizabeth Callaway of Elwood; sister, Kelsey Lyn Callaway (Michael Dowling) of Anderson; grandmother, Nancy Callaway of Elwood; uncles and aunt, Terry (Marsha) Trimble, Duane Callaway, and Anna (Tim) Brunnemer; nephew, Ryken Mundy; and many extended family members and special friends.  Chase was preceded in death by his grandparents, Allan and Lillian Trimble and Robert Callaway; and nephew, Avery Bright.

A funeral service celebrating Chase's life will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2023 at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood with Rev. Roger Gardner of East Main Street Christian Church officiating.  Burial will follow in Sunset Cemetery in Elwood.  Visitation for family and friends will be held from 11 AM to 1 PM on Wednesday prior the funeral service at the funeral home.   Memorial contributions are suggested to Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home to help the family offset funeral expenses.  Online condolences and memories may be shared at copherfeslermay.com.
