Obituary

Charles M. "Mike" Jameson, age 52 of Alexandria, passed away Thursday, February 4, 2016 at Seton Specialty Hospital in Indianapolis following complications of a recent heart attack. Mike was born September 11, 1963 in Elwood, the son of Charles and Dana (Curtis) Jameson. He worked in the construction industry all of his life and most recently worked for Shaffner-Heaney Associates Construction for the past 5 years. He was also formerly part owner of Jameson-Nichols Construction. Mike was a 1981 graduate of Frankton High School. Mike married Beverly E. Boone on March 25, 1990, and they shared over 25 years of marriage. He was an avid outdoorsman, and especially enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, archery, and gardening. Mike was a devoted I.U. Basketball fan, and was known for making custom fishing flies. He also enjoyed making homemade beef jerky and salsa, which was loved by his family and friends. More than anything Mike will be remembered for his devotion to his family as a loving son, husband, and father. Mike's favorite quote was "Excellence that feels it has to be proclaimed - by the mere fact of its proclamation, admits the doubt of its existence" by Tony Dungy.

Mike's family includes his wife, Beverly (Boone) Jameson of Alexandria; parents, Charles and Dana Jameson of rural Frankton; 2 sons, Curtis (wife Jennifer) Jameson of Cheyenne, WY, and Zachary Jameson of Alexandria; 2 brothers, David (wife Nicole) Jameson of rural Frankton, and Eric (wife Shelley) Jameson of Knightstown; 3 sisters-in-law, Teresa (husband Bob) Lockhart of Frankton, Tracy (husband Rick) Smith of Elwood, and Leslie (husband Greg) Hare of Frankton; brother-in-law, Eric (wife Pam) Boone of Troy, MO; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; in-laws, John Boone and Lois Boone; and niece, Kaliegh Kelly.
