Charles Lee "Chuck" Young , age 78 of Benton Harbor, MI, passed away on Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at his daughter's home in Elwood, IN.  He was born August 7, 1947 in Benton Harbor, MI, to Rufus and Nelly Mae (Baker) Young.  Chuck worked hard all of his life to provide for his family.  He was an adored father, and brother.

Chuck is survived by his daughter, Sonia (Rex) McElfresh of Elwood; 4 siblings, Pastor Rufus (Patricia) Young of Benton Harbor, MI, Curtis Young of Douglasville, GA, Marie Silby of Windson, CO, and Janet Young of Benton Harbor, MI; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Chuck is preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, Wallace "Wally" Young, and Herman Young; and sister, Dorothy Prophet.

Chuck's wishes were to be cremated and have no formal services at this time.  Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home is honored to handle Chuck's arrangements.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggest to Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home to help offset unexpected funeral expenses.
