Catherine Mae "Cathy" Green , age 63 and a lifelong resident of Elwood, passed away on Monday, October 31, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family after a short battle with cancer.  She was born October 2, 1959 in Elwood, the daughter of Ray and Mary (Stickler) Cline.  Cathy attended Elwood Community Schools and earned her GED later in life.  She worked many years as a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) at Parkview Nursing Home and formerly at Dickey Nursing Home both in Elwood.  She retired in 2002 due to disability, but she truly loved caring for others.  Cathy married Rondall Joe "Ron" Green on July 15, 1977, and they shared 45 years of marriage together.  She especially enjoyed spending time with her family, preparing delicious holiday dinners, and spoiling her grandchildren.  Cathy also loved shopping, traveling, taking her granddaughters fishing, and riding 4-wheelers.  She has been reunited with her son in Heaven.

Cathy's family legacy includes her husband, Rondall J. "Ron" Green of Elwood; son, Kenneth E. (Jessica) Green of Elburn, IL; 7 siblings; two beloved granddaughters, Olivia and Cambelle Green; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.  Cathy was preceded in death by her parents and a young son, Rondall Joe Green, Jr. who died in 1984.

A funeral service celebrating Cathy's life will be held at 12:00 pm on Thursday, November 3, 2022 at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood with Chaplain Joel Flowers of Paradigm Hospice officiating.  Cremation will follow the service and burial will take place at a later date in the Elwood City Cemetery.  Visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am to 12 pm prior to the funeral on Thursday at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home.  Memorial contributions are suggested to the family to help with expenses in lieu of flowers.  Online condolences and memories may be shared at www.copherfeslermay.com.
