Carl P. Peterson, age 82 of Anderson, died unexpectedly at his residence on Wednesday, June 26, 2013. He was born September 25, 1930 in Erwin, Texas the son of James and Mary (Britt) Peterson. Carl was employed as a general laborer by the Laborers Union Local #1112 and retired in 1980. He also owned and operated multiple rental properties in Anderson and the surrounding area for many years. Carl served his country in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany. He married Jacqulyn J. Fox on January 26, 1953.

Carl's family includes 3 sons, Carl P. Peterson, Jr. of Paradise, Terry L. (wife Sharon) Peterson of Anderson, and Tracy G. Peterson (companion Teresa Barrett) of Anderson; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of more than 59 years, Jacqulyn J. Peterson who died October 28, 2012; and 2 brothers, Bernie Peterson and R.C. Peterson.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Monday, July 1, 2013 at Copher-Felser-May Funeral Home in Elwood. Burial will follow in the Elwood City Cemetery where military honors will be conducted by the United States Military and the Elwood V.F.W. and American Legion Honor Guards.
