Lorene Call , age 99 of Vincennes and formerly a longtime resident of Elwood, passed away on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes after a long, full life. She was born on April 6, 1922 in Linton, the daughter of Paul D. Shepherd and Ariethia (Miller) Shepherd. She graduated from Linton High School in 1938.  Lorene married her soulmate, Raymond P. Lorene is survived by her daughter, Janice Mott of Vincennes; two grandchildren, Curtis (Sarah) Page of Anchorage, AK and Deidre (Brian) Martin of Vincennes; two great- granddaughters, Lindsay (Kyle) Catt of Vincennes and Page Martin of Fenton, MI; two great-great granddaughters, Addison and Brinley Catt both of Vincennes; niece, Claudia (David) Hensley of Linton; and a nephew, Hal (Melissa) Shepherd of Linton.  Lorene was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Raymond Call; sister, Delema Kennard; brother, Haldon (Mary) Shepherd; son-in-law, Ray Mott; brothers-in-law, Marvin Cal, Roe Call, Ralph Call, and Hubert Call; and a sister-in-law, Mary Savage

A funeral service celebrating Lorene's life will be held at 2:30 pm on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood with Pastor Bill Johnston of Grace United Methodist Church officiating.  An Order of Eastern Star Memorial will take place at the start of the funeral.  Entombment will follow in the Elwood City Cemetery Mausoleum.  Visitation for friends and family will be held from 1:00 to 2:30 pm prior to the funeral on Saturday at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home.  Health precautions for the safety of the family and visitors are greatly appreciated.  Memorial contributions may be made to Grace United Methodist Church in Elwood or Good Samaritan Hospice in Vincennes.  Online condolences and memories may be shared at www.copherfeslermay.com.
