Obituary

Bryan Keith LaShure , age 62 of Elwood passed away on Saturday, December 27, 2025 at his home after his third battle with cancer.  He was born December 24, 1963 in Elwood the son of Jimmy and Sharron (Smith) LaShure.  Bryan was a 1982 graduate of Elwood High School.  He married his high school sweetheart, Toni Tomlinson on July 23, 1983, and they shared 46 years of marriage together.  Together they created a loving, supporting family of 3 boys.  Bryan worked at State Plating for 15 years, and then he adventured into the construction world.  He was self employed and did work for Sear Amos doing siding and home repairs.

Bryan loved making things with wood, listening to music, sitting around a fire pit, camping, and canoeing.  He especially enjoyed fishing, and hunting, as he found great peace being out in the woods.  Most of all he loved and enjoyed being with his family and friends.

Bryan is survived by his wife Toni LaShure of Elwood; 3 sons, Thomas (Whitney) LaShure of Summitville, Nicholas (Emily) LaShure of Elwood, and Dylan (Christina) LaShure of Elwood; sister, Tanja Scott of Elwood; 10 grandchildren, Ayden, Karter, Lakan, Erika, Chloe, Karlee, Dawson, Ryder, Lilah, and Levi; lifelong friend of 52 years, Mike Lane of Elwood; 2 fur babies, Heidi Jo, and Sadi May; several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews; and many cousins and extended family members and friends.  Bryan is preceded in death by his parents; father and mother-in-law, Doyle and Carolyn Tomlinson; and 3 brothers, James LaShure, Edward LaShure, and Trent LaShure.

A funeral service celebrating Bryan's life will take place at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood with members of the family officiating.  Burial will follow the service in Elwood City Cemetery.  Visitation for family and friends will be held prior to the service from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home.  Memorial contributions may be made to the family to help offset funeral expenses.  Online condolences and memories may be shared at copherfeslermay.com.
