Brian Keith Gerard, Jr. , age 36 of Elwood, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at St. Vincent Mercy Hospital in Elwood.  He was born June 21, 1985 in Elwood, the son of Brian K. Gerard, Sr. and Cindy L. (Skeen) Gerard.  Brian attended Elwood Junior/Senior High School with the class of 2005.  He enjoyed working in construction all his life.  He most recently worked for Window World in Muncie as a window installer.  Brian will be remembered as a hard-working person who went out of his way to help others.  He was very giving and compassionate.  In his spare time, Brian enjoyed working on cars, riding his motorcycle, and spending time with family and friends.  He especially adored his nephews.  Brian will be greatly missed.

Brian's family includes his father of Indianapolis; 2 children, Dakin and Alexis; 2 sisters, Christy Gerard of Elwood and Misty Gerard of Anderson; maternal grandmother, Anita Skeen of Hobbs; aunt, Carol (Roger) Ashby of Elwood; uncle, George Skeen; 4 beloved nephews, Austin Hinchman, Dilyn Fuller, Dontrez Fuller, and Alex Patterson; and several true friends, including Kyle and Mary Neff.  Brian was preceded in death by his mother, Cindy Gerard in 2010; paternal grandparents, Victor "Harold" and Evelyn Gerard; and maternal grandparents, Norman and Beverly Cox and George Skeen.

Following cremation, a private memorial service will take place.  Burial will take place at a later date.  Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home has been entrusted with Brian's arrangements.  Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to assist the family with unexpected funeral expenses.  Online condolences and memories may be shared at copherfeslermay.com.
