Betty L. Antle, age 90 of Elwood, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at Community Hospital in Anderson following a brief illness. She was born January 23, 1923 in Alexandria, the daughter of Claude and Bertha (Drudge) Babcock. Betty was a homemaker most of her life, and had also formerly worked for the Aladdin Lamp Company in Alexandria. She married Marlston Leroy Antle on April 25, 1947. She was a devoted member of East Main Street Christian Church in Elwood. Betty was also a devoted mother and grandmother; and she enjoyed cooking, reading and working with flowers and plants.

Betty's family includes 5 children, Claudia "Katy" Jones (companion Richard Clark) of Winter Haven, FL, Jeffrey (wife Phyllis) Antle of Amarillo, TX, Terry Antle of Elwood, Pamela Bush of Elwood, and David (wife Cindy) Antle of Fishers; 11 grandchildren, Laurie (husband Eric) Bunker, Beth (husband Michael) Metalisk, Angela (husband Spencer) Jones, Jim (wife Hope) Smith, Jennifer (husband Will) Powell, Stacey (husband Jerry) Alvey, Stephen (wife Cathy) Antle, Michelle (husband Gene) Jenkins, Chris (wife Holly) Antle, Jason (wife Monica) Bush, and Zachary Antle; 23 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of nearly 45 years, Marlston L. Antle who died February 9, 1992; son, Jerry Antle; 7 siblings, Kenneth Babcock, Orville Babcock, Paul Babcock, Curtis Babcock, Martha Pugh, Belva Roop, and Dorothy Beldon.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Monday, May 6, 2013 at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood with Rev. Roger Gardner officiating. Burial will follow in the Elwood City Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 2:00 to 6:00 PM on Sunday, May 5, 2013 at the funeral home.
