Beatrice M. Ebert, age 91 of Avon, Indiana and formerly of Elwood, died Janaury 7, 2005 at Hendricks Regional Health Center in Danville, Indiana after an extended illness. She was born October 26, 1913 in Elwood, Indiana. She was a Homemaker and also worked as a Seamstress from her home. She was a 1932 graduate of Elwood High School. She had played the piano at Grace United Methodist Church in Elwood. She lived in Michigantown from 1940 to 1965 where she was the first Girl Scout Leader and lived in Indianapolis from 1965 to 1997. She later moved to Avon in 1997. She was a member of the John Knox Presbyterian Church in Speedway.
Survivors include - 3 Daughters: Donna and husband Bob Landers of Sebring, FL; Julia Meier of Plainwell, MI; and Dr. Gloria and husband Phil Crum of Mission, TX. 2 Sons: Greg and wife Cheryl Ebert of Avon and Gary and wife Judy Ebert of New Port Richey, FL. 8 Grandchildren: Andrew and wife Julie Crum of Fairview Heights, IL; Chandra Sisk of Westfield; Michele Miller of Lakeland, FL; Michael and wife Eva Ebert of Lutz, FL; Christa Ebert of Avon; Stephanie Ebert of Avon; Elizabeth Meier of Plainwell MI; and Kathleen Meier of Plainwell, MI. 9 Great Grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death her parents, Charles and Bertha (Cochran) Tomlinson; and a sister, Vera Bull.
Funeral Service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Wednesday, January 12, 2005 at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood with Rev. Herb Eggleston of the First Presbyterian Church in Elwood officiating. Burial will take place in the Elwood City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 PM Tuesday, January 11, 2005 at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home.
