Obituary

Barbara K. (Farr) Clark , age 78 and a lifelong resident of Elwood, passed away on Sunday, January 30, 2022 at her residence following a brief battle with leukemia.  She was born July 19, 1943 in Elwood, the daughter of Raymond and Lillian (Ellis) Farr.  Barbara was a 1961 graduate of Wendell L. Willkie High School in Elwood.  She worked for 30 years in production at Delco Electronics in Kokomo and retired in 1999.  Barb was a member of U.A.W. #295 in Kokomo.  She was an avid reader of her Bible and had a strong religious faith.  Barb especially enjoyed spending time around her pool, vegetable gardening, and watching old westerns and movies.  She loved animals and never got far from her beloved dog, "Libby-Ann".  Barb loved her family and grandchildren more than anything in the world, and she never missed an opportunity to watch them in their sporting activities.  She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Barb's family legacy includes 5 siblings, Victor (Pam) Farr of Anderson, Carolyn Haynes of Elwood, Rosalie (David) Hancock of Elwood, Tom (Kathy) Farr of Greentown, and Joyce (Allen) Rybecki of Elwood; 4 beloved grandchildren, Brady Hawes, Andrew Hawes, Chris Hawes, and Taylor Hawes all of Elwood; son-in-law, Billy Hawes of Elwood; special niece, Valeria Laster of Elwood; and several nieces and nephews.  Barb was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Jennifer Hawes; sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and Terry Laster; step-sister, Wanda Stage; and brother-in-law, Jim Haynes.

A funeral service celebrating Barbara's life will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home with Pastor Rodney Ellis officiating.  Cremation will follow the service.  Visitation for family and friends will take place from 11 am to 1 pm prior to the funeral on Saturday at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home.  Health precautions for the safety of the family and visitors are greatly appreciated.  Memorial contributions may be made to the First Missionary Baptist Church or the Elwood Animal Shelter through the funeral home.  Online condolences and memories may be shared at www.copherfeslermay.com.
