Anita M. Woodsides, age 87 of Alexandria, died Friday, October 14, 2011 at Community Hospital in Anderson following a brief illness. She was born April 21, 1924 in Frankton, the daughter of A. Harold and Eloy (Etchison) Foust. She was a homemaker most of her life, and formerly worked for several years at Delco Remy in Anderson. She married Billy Woodsides on June 29, 1946. She was a 1942 graduate of Frankton High School. Anita was a member of the Ladies Home-Economics Club, the ladies "Bunco" Bridge Club, and was an avid Colts Football fan. She enjoyed traveling and especially loved spending winters in Englewood, Florida for over 20 years. She formerly attended the Grace United Methodist Church in Elwood.

Survivors include: Son – Gary D. (wife Diane) Woodsides of Alexandria; Daughter – Gloria (husband Allen) Poppa of Brownsburg; Sister – Mary Margaret (husband Joe) House of Elwood; 4 Grandchildren – Lisa J. (husband Brad) Duffy, Chris D. Woodsides, Michael E. Johnson, and Marc E. Johnson; 5 Great-Grandchildren – Bradley, Nick, Lily, Mitchell, and Coleman Duffy; and a niece and nephew.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband - Billy Woodsides who died July 10, 2001.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at 1:00 PM at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood with Rev. Todd Outcalt of the Calvary United Methodist Church in Brownsburg officiating. Burial will take place in the Aroma Cemetery in Hamilton County. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home.
