Allen D. Fowler, age 53 of Elwood, died Monday, September 20, 2011 at Community Hospital in Anderson after a brief illness. He was born January 1,1958 in Glendale, CA, the son of Benjamin D. and Joyce A. (Hillan) Fowler. He was employed in production at King Systems in Noblesville where he worked for several years. He was a Christian and formerly attended The Assembly of God Church in Elwood. Allen married Dusty L. Martin on September 12, 1976. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed golf, bowling, and especially loved baseball. Allen was known for having a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed dancing. He loved spending time with and caring for his family.

Survivors include: Wife of 35 years – Dusty L. Fowler of Elwood; 7 Children – Nina Stutzman of Elwood, January (husband Derek) Couch of Anderson, EveVette (husband Scott) Fowler-Jarrell of Elwood, Judy Fowler of Elwood, Allen D. Fowler Jr. of Elwood, Justina (husband Tyler) Nichols of Elwood, Jessica (husband Max) Grose of Elwood; 2 Sisters – Judy Criscione of Elwood, Shelley (husband Bob) Croy of Muncie; 13 Grandchildren and several Nieces and Nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Friday, September 23, 2011 at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood with Rev. Michael Anderson of the Assembly of God Church in Elwood. Burial will take place in the Elwood City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Friday at the funeral home prior to the service. Online condolences: www.copherfeslermay.com.
