Alicia D. Garston , age 84 of Elwood and formerly of Chillicothe, OH, passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at Elwood Health and Living Care Center after an extended illness.  She was born April 22, 1938 in Brooklyn, New York, the daughter of Samuel and Martha (Nathanson) Garston.  Alicia worked as a purchasing agent for a cosmetic company in New York and later in life was a patient liaison for a large nursing home in Ohio.

Alicia enjoyed watching TV and was an avid reader.  She often read medical journals for enjoyment, and she was known for being very intelligent.  Alicia especially loved to read murder mysteries, and she would often figure them out well before the end of the book.

Alicia's family includes her son, Steven E. B. Wedig of Elwood; sister, Ona Cheron (late husband Jeff) of Queens, New York; and a step-grandchild.  She was preceded in death by her parents.
